The lawn is a shrinking resource in gardens today, but I have to admit, I like a little spot of green lawn to set off my flower gardens and to have a soft comfortable place for the kids to play. Not to mention, my husband practically cries every time I pull up more lawn to make flower beds!
While lawns tend to use a lot of water, fertilizer, pest and weed control, and time (think mowing!) it is unlikely we will see the demise of lawns anytime soon.
