Ok, what a place to start. This farmhouse style DIY potting bench is full of so much charm, but is so easy! It’s simply an old table and a cubby on top. Love, love love! Go check out ‘Little Vintage Nest‘ and see all the photos. Also take note… This is one of those places where you could just have a plain old, utilitarian potting table stuck in the side yard where no one can see it. But nothing in your life has to be ugly! This is definitely a potting bench you will want to show off.
From Jamison at ‘Rogue Engineer‘, try his step by step tutorial for this potting bench. This is a substantial potting table that will last forever. Also, it’s a project more like a garden work bench than just a table! Lots of storage for all your gardening supplies.

We found this garden work bench idea at ‘House of Hawthornes‘. The original blogger she had credited with this project no longer exists, but we think an avid DIY’er could figure this out. One antique door, a little plumbing pipe, and little knowledge. (If you need some help with this, our site OhMeOhMy has a great post on Projects with Pipe!)
From Louise de Miranda on ‘Houzz‘. this is another potting table that is pretty self explanatory for a DIY’er. Old metal desk from the thrift store, add some wood shelves, and never worry about it getting beat up! Why? Because it already looks great that way!
This potting table comes from ‘Jardin Designs‘. They created this DIY potting bench from an old dresser…. Love this!We especially love the clever garden storage idea using chicken wire and S-hooks. Great way to keep all your garden tools right at your bench.
‘Robins Nesting Place‘ made this potting bench from old rummage sale junk. This is so cute! Also, it’s an entire garden work bench with a work surface and shelving to keep your garden pots, watering can and other necessities. It even has a drawer! All you need for this DIY project is an up-cycled desk and old bookcase. Paint the whole piece the same color to unify it. And remember, your potting table can be pretty too. (That’s kinda the whole idea of this post!) Check out the attention to detail with this one, and the decorative brackets they used.
We found this potting table floating around Pinterest, and I had to share it because it looks so amazing. Obviously they used old fencing material with an old window. For the price, it has more features than most, including a removable sink and a drawer for storage. Hundreds of 5 star reviews. If out of stock, try the Sharpe Garden Fir Potting Bench.
If you are looking for a heavy duty potting table that will last for years, consider the “Hershy Potting Table“. This one has great reviews as to the quality of this potting bench.
