So enough with the man caves already. Really? It took this long for the tide to turn and the woman of the house to get a shot at a little autonomy and peace? No matter how long it took, She Shed Ideas are going viral, and they are so much cuter than a silly man cave anyway. (Cue “We Are the Champions”.) Seriously, your own she shed space, and in the garden to boot? Let’s face it. We ladies deserve this. And guess what? You can have one!

That’s right ladies, conjure up all those images in your mind you have for your Barbie dream house grown up version, and get to plannin’. And don’t forget to plan for a lock on the door. :) These DIY she shed ideas, plans, kits and tutorials will have you creating a space where you can finally have all the pillows you want, and no one throws them on the floor. And if you’re looking for she shed kits, you’ll find a few that we really like at the bottom of the post.

She Said - I Want a SHE SHED!

She Shed Plans

Our first DIY she shed is from ‘BHG‘. This one was made using old windows and re-cycled materials. In addition, this could double as an amazing greenhouse as well! The post also has free she shed plans for the framework of this shed.

DIY she sheds

This coastal style she shed from Danielle (and her husband) at ‘Finding Silver Pennies‘ comes complete with a tutorial on the DIY shiplap walls and beadboard ceiling! They purchased a pre built shed for this project, then totally customized the inside. They even gave it it’s own gravel patio!

From ‘Hoosier Homemade‘, this Farmhouse style DIY she shed was built from the ground up! Complete instructions for the whole building in four easy to follow parts, from foundation to roofing. Such warm and charming decor! Don’t you just want to peek all the way inside? Well, you can if you go to the post! (Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom for the links to the four part tutorial.)

This she shed craft retreat is just dreamy. From ‘The House that Lars Built‘, I can’t imagine getting much done here except just being. Which is totally ok. Totally. From the rustic treehouse to the luxe faux fur in the interior, this shed is magic. BTW, if you love rustic, you are gonna want to check out DIY Rustic Christmas Decorations over at TBD!

Want some straight forward plans on how to build a cheap storage shed? Then hop on over to ‘Family Handyman‘ for these she shed plans, step by step instructions and supply sheet. (Then style it as a gorgeous She Shed with ideas from the rest of the bloggers in this post!)

Ok, if you are starting to feel like those amazing spaces are out of your budget, ‘Kloter Farms‘ in Connecticut has a great take on their version of a DIY she shed that uses creative ideas and thrift store finds. Paper tissue flowers, string lights, an inexpensive Ikea chandelier, and our fav idea, papering the ceiling with old book pages! Of course, the paint choices , patterned rug and throw pillows and the tulle draping are all easy ideas anyone can do. Cute space!

From ‘House Beautiful‘, this she shed was a wedding gift from Kevin to Heather. (Lucky girl!) Kevin rebuilt an old potting shed and replaced the roof with tempered glass so it could be a greenhouse/ sunroom as well. Ok – Best. Groom. Ever.

Want something more modern or contemporary? ‘Modern Shed‘ has prefab shed designs just perfect for home offices or craft rooms with a more minimal flair.

This DIY she shed is from ‘Living Vintage‘. Ok, this would be the best B&B ever, right? Lots of photos of them completing this project, and we love, love, love the rustic feel! AND the fact that they used reclaimed materials!

DIY she sheds

Lastly, from ‘Lowes‘, lots of tutorials on the mechanics of building your own diy she shed and customizing it for what you need… Reading, yoga, potting shed, music, crafting, office… The list goes on! They don’t provide complete she shed plans, but there’s a lot of information there,

She Shed Kits

Looking for a bit of a head start? Wayfair offers a few She Shed Kits or at least multi purpose shed kits that can easily be used as a home office, craft room or whatever you want it to be. This first one is not too expensive given the size, with free shipping! you can customize with paint, a window box and decor! from ’Wayfair’.

This ‘12×8 foot solid wood lean-to‘ is the perfect she shed kit. Fresh new modern design and just the right size. Comes with western red cedar wood and windows and free shipping!

    English Lesson:
1- It’s beautiful in the garden.
    Here, IT’S means IT IS.

2- Its leaves are light yellow.
Here, ITS is a possessive pronoun.
    No apostrophe needed.
